HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

How come summer seems even busier than the school year?  Here are some highlights from the last two months:
Flowers!

So this is grass, huh?

Our daily walks make me sleepy.

It took Mommy almost a year to figure out how to get yardwork done.
I'm eleven months today!

Books are fun!

I have six teeth now...

...which help me eat watermelon!

Why do Mommy and Daddy keep calling this "baby-jail"?

I graduated to the big-boy car seat!

Is that chocolate ducky birthday cake for me?

Whoa, fire!

Daddy can eat the ducky cake.  This baby-food carrot cake is yummy!

10 Months

Simon is 10 months old today.  Here's what happened last month:

I can CRAWL!

I got a hat.

I can feed myself!

Sort of.

See you next month!

Finally!

We're back!  Sorry it's been so long.  Once Simon got big enough to kick the computer off my lap, blogging got much trickier.  But I've still been taking lots of pictures, so if Simon allows, I'll try to begin posting again.  Since Simon's nine months old today, I'll start by showcasing the month-by-month birthdays you've missed.

5 months: Happy Thanksgiving!

6 months: Merry Christmas!

7 months: I have a tooth!

8 months: I'm sleepy.

9 months: Can you believe how big I am?

Hopefully I'll post some more pictures soon.  If not, see you again at 10 months!

Swingtime

It's been so nice out, we decided to hang Simon's infant swing.

So, this is the perk of being able to sit on my own?

Imagine me doing Grover's voice: NEEEEARRR!

FARRRR!

Mommy thought I looked chilly.

Wildlife Explorer

I've been meaning to post these ever since I took them over two weeks ago, but it's taken me this long just to go through the 50+ pics from the session!  Sorry for the delay, and please enjoy the show.

Welcome to Wildlife Explorer!
I'm your host, The Wee Baby Simon.
Today we're observing the elusive Lowchen in their natural habitat...
Mommy's bed.
Lowchen are playful,
inquisitive,
and affectionate creatures
who like to give kisses...
lots of kisses...
Ack, too many kisses!
Whew!
All settled down now?  Good boy.
With enough patience, Lowchen can be your very best friend.
See you next time on Wildlife Explorer!
Oh no, not again!

Sittin' pretty

Even though Simon was born super-strong (possibly due to his 3x/day hiccups in utero), I'm still surprised he can do this at 4.5 months:

Look at me!

No, Sprite, I don't need help.

I'm as strong as Daddy!

At least that's what Mommy says.
