Happy Halloween!

Initially, Bradley and I didn't know how to dress Simon up for Halloween, but then we remembered the bath towels Aunt Carolyn sent:

I'm a monkey!
Now I'm a ducky!
It's Ducky Boy and Monkey Mom!
Any candy in your beard, Ducky Dad?
Maybe Simon will be old enough for candy next year.  At least old enough for "nature's candy" (aka raisins).

Baby's first desk

Simon still likes his froggy bouncy chair that we gave him when he turned two months, but he's starting to worry when we walk out of view.  So to celebrate Simon turning four months last week, we gave him an exersaucer which allows him to spin and track us around the room.  The various gadgets also hold his focus very well, so Simon now works at his "desk" alongside Mommy and Daddy.

You mean this is mine?

Coooool!

Now I'm boss of the doggies!

Sprite, bring me some coffee.

So... is this THE button?

Yikes!  I'll leave that alone, then.

Alright.  Time to get down to business.

Now where's Sprite with my coffee?
Simon really likes playing with his rattles and other toys while in the saucer, so we've started referring to them as his "important papers".

Little Creeper

Simon explored the floor this week.

Huff, puff, grunt.

Oh, hi there!

I wonder if my spit can reach the ground.

Okay, back to work.

Am I any closer to you yet?

What do you mean "not at all"?

Can't I just ride one of the dogs?
Don't get discouraged, Buddy.  You ended up scooting a whole two inches on your own.  We'll be chasing after you before you know it.

Nursery rhyme fun

Simon met a special person last week:

Why don't I get a bite of pie?
Unfortunately, Simon was broke.

3 months (3 weeks ago)

Everything's still good here.  Just been too busy to post, or rather, too busy to go through 100+ pictures to pick which ones to post.  Bradley has been working on the room that will eventually be Simon's (he may finish installing the flooring today), and I've been prepping for the course I start teaching this week.  Simon has been demanding more time too since his growing and teething pains have intensified.  Poor little guy is full of gas and covered in drool!  But I had better post his 3-month birthday pictures before he turns 4 months next week, so here you go:
Whoa, I'm 3 months now?
I'm getting pretty big.
Like my blue eyes?

I get them from Mommy.
